Up to 30 Borough Market traders will open up for the annual Apple Day event.

This family celebration of the seasonal apple harvest offers visitors the opportunity to sample apple varieties and products including limited edition Apple Day preserves, pies and juices.

Apple Day celebrates the complete lifecycle of the apple and apple growers, bee-keepers and tasty pie produces will all be on hand to share their knowledge and enthusiasm for all things apple.

As well as apple treats from regular Borough Market favourites including England Preserves, Mrs King’s Pork Pies and Gringley Gringo there will be the chance to try traditional games such as apple peeling competitions and apple bobbing.

Southwark Cathedral will also be holding its harvest Eucharist at 11am and offering a delicious range of apple themed meals in its refectory.

There will also be fun and games in the south west churchyard with the Ministry of Fun.
