Singapore Takeout at Gabriel's Wharf

Hot on the heels of its launch in Singapore last month, London will be the first destination on a global tour to host Singapore Takeout – a mobile pop-up kitchen and restaurant in a specially-customised shipping container. Headed by Singapore's own Janice Wong, chef-owner of 2am: dessertbar, in collaboration with Peter Gordon from London's The Providores and Tapa Room, guests can expect Singapore-inspired modern gastronomic delights that will whet their appetites and inspire even the most cultivated palates.

The South Bank will come alive with the smells of the fine cuisine created by Janice Wong in collaboration with Peter Gordon. Janice Wong is one of Singapore's ground-breaking young chefs who have transformed the flavours of the past into an innovative, international, yet distinctly Singaporean cuisine that tastes authentic and is visually spectacular.

25 members of the public will have a chance to get up-close and personal with Janice Wong in her 45-minute cooking demonstrations on 10 June at 4pm when she will reveal how she prepares dishes such as Chilli Chocolate Corals.

Those who are not able to grab these limited seats can still experience Janice's unique Singapore-inspired dishes, when the Singapore Takeout opens its doors to all members of the public. Complimentary tasting portions will be given out to all visitors between 5.30 to 7.45pm on both days and on Saturday lunchtime between 12.15pm and 3pm.
