£25,200 pro rata, fixed-term 8 months contract from mid-September 2011

37.5 hours per week including evening and weekend work

About this role

The Robes Project, run by an ecumenical group of churches in Lambeth and Southwark, provides emergency accommodation for homeless people during the coldest five months of the winter every year.

Opening for our sixth winter in November 2011, we are seeking a project co-ordinator to manage this project in collaboration with the Trustees, management committee and a large team of volunteers.

Person description

With experience in the field of homelessness, you will be a good organiser and able to work with and encourage a diverse group of people. In sympathy with Christian values, you will have compassion for those without home, hope and help. It is essential that you are willing to work flexible hours including evening and weekend work when the shelter is open. In return, we offer an opportunity to make a real difference in a groundbreaking ecumenical project for the homeless in South London.
