Potters Fields Park: council leader ousts ward councillor from management trust

Southwark Council's cabinet has voted to appoint the Labour council leader Peter John to the board of the Potters Fields Park Management Trust, replacing the Lib Dem Riverside ward councillor Nick Stanton.

Blackfriars Bridge: London Assembly calls for review of speed limit

The London Assembly has called on Boris Johnson to commission a "full review" of the speed limit for traffic on Blackfriars Bridge, just days after the Mayor said that the current 20 mph limit "could be a serious impediment to smooth traffic flow".
